Two new additions will be in the lineup this weekend for the Vermilion County Bobcats. On Wednesday, Right Wing Tyler Dill and Defensemen Xavier Abdella were signed to standard contacts.

Dill made his professional debut last season with the Fayetteville Marksmen. He played four games, not getting on the score sheet. He played two games this year with the Peoria Rivermen before joining the Bobcats. He played his college career at two different colleges. He played for Utica College for two seasons in 18-19 and 19-20. Dill then joined Wilkes University before the 2020-21 season and scored eight goals and eight assists. The following season was his best year, tallying 16 goals and  getting 13 assists. The South Lake Tahoe, CA native will be playing for his third pro team in his career.

Abdella comes to the Bobcats from Danbury of the FPHL. He has played in 11 games with one assist for the Hat Tricks. Xavier also played one game for Birmingham this year, getting one assist. He was also a teammate of Dill at Wilkes University during the 20-21 and 21-22 season. In 48 games with Wilkes, he had one goal and six assist.

The Vermilion County Bobcats will host Knoxville on Friday and Saturday at the David S. Palmer Arena at 7 PM. On Sunday, it is another return visit for the Peoria Rivermen at 4 PM. There will be a post game skate with the team after the game on Sunday. Santa is also going to make an appearance.
