It was the second of a home and home series between the Vermilion County Bobcats and the Quad City Storm. The visitors came away with a 4-1 victory at the David S. Palmer Arena in Danville Saturday night.
The Bobcats struck first in the first period. Austin Albrecht found a loose puck between the pads of starting Storm goalie Kevin Resop and poked it thru for his fifth goal of the season. Gianni Vitali and Davis Kirkendall picked up the assists.
Quad City then tied the game at 9:57, and took the lead for good at 13:12. The Storm scored one in the second and one in the third to secure the victory for the visitors.
Sean Kuhn got the start, and suffered the loss. His record is now 2-7-1 on the season.
The next game for the Bobcats is this Friday night at 7 PM at home against Evansville. It is Teddy Bear Toss night, with all the teddy bears thrown onto the ice after the first Bobcat's goal will go to pediatric patients that are served by OSF. You can get your tickets online and at the David S. Palmer Arena box office. If you can't make the game, you can watch it online at SPHLTV.com, or listen online by going to the home page and clicking on the play button on the Mixlr app.
