DANVILLE, IL-- The Vermilion County Bobcats of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) have partnered with the Danville Dans of the Prospect League for a special "Bobcats Night" at Danville Stadium to be held Tuesday, July 27th at 5:30 p.m.
The Danville Dans will wear Vermilion County Bobcats-themed baseball jerseys for the second game of that night's doubleheader, featuring Bobcats logo branding and team colors- white, red and black. Those game-worn jerseys will then be auctioned off to fans at the conclusion of the game. Vermilion County Bobcats ownership and staff members will be on hand prior to the start of the game to unveil the team's road white jerseys between games and to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of Game Two.
"We are really looking forward to this exciting night," said Bobcats Vice President of Broadcasting and Communications Casey Bryant. "Baseball is a Vermilion County institution, with Danville Stadium celebrating its 75th anniversary. So to join forces like this and introduce our new pro hockey team in such a historic ballpark is fantastic."
The Dans are set to play the Champion City Kings on July 27th in a doubleheader with first pitch scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Danville Stadium gate priced at $2 a ticket for all entrants.
